Galleon Goes Down, Pirates Still At Large

Today, the District Court in Manhattan found Raj Rajaratnam, CEO of Galleon Group, guilty on 14 counts of conspiracy and fraud. This would normally be an occasion to rejoice in the triumph of the legal system, to notch up one for the small investor. That is, if the perpetrators of the biggest financial fraud the world has ever seen – one that smashed countless nest eggs and rocked nations – are still free and unchecked and are in fact, at this very moment, counting the fat bonuses their crimes garnered them.

I have nothing against making money, and I hope to do it myself one day, but this is villainy most blatant. Time we took the wind out of their sails.
